It's Different for the Boys

by K. Kylyra Ameringer

The meeting is always the turning point

When they form that bond as brothers

They'll stay up to talk all night

And leave you outside as just some other

It's different for the boys

Somehow it just is

They have something you just can't be a part of because

It's different for the boys

You know something strange is going on

When you walk into a room and conversation stops

And when they finally ask you what the hell is wrong

Is it any wonder your jaw just drops?

It's different for the boys

Somehow it just is

They have something you just can't be a part of because

It's different for the boys

Now's the time they could switch off that telly

Turn around and finally let you in

Why can't they just treat you like a person?

You can't help the mould of your skin

Sometimes you think you could go up in smoke

And your leaving would hardly be seen

The anger builds, you begin to choke

Are you only there to cook and clean?

It's different for the boys

Somehow it just is

They have something you just can't be a part of because

It's different for the boys
