Good evening, and welcome to the show.

Let's start with the obvious, this name you use

not that I mean to make fun or abuse -

but it's an odd one, the way you spell it,

so how do you pronounce it? Tell us.

The first two syllables have a long 'i'

like pie that you eat or sky under your feet

So it's easy to say, and play along with me here,

Kylyra (Kylyra)

  • Good! We're well on our way

  • and next you see me you can say

  • 'hi, Ky!'

  • and it'll be our thing.

So why do you do it, this poetry with sound?

Do you think the market for your passion is found?

What's with all the voices? How do you make your choices?

Do you think you'll do more? Please, tell us the score.

It's a brain freeze and how can I tell you the ease

of this flow for me, the way it blows from me.

Using everything I've ever been taught

I ought to get a 'you go girl' (you go girl)

  • Good! We're communicating now

  • and next you see me you can say

  • 'hi, Ky!'

  • and it'll be our thing.

I write my words first, then up to the studio

where I doodley-o away on the equipment there.

The right sound pulls it all together

Can I hear a 'you don't say' (you don't say)

As for doing more, what I've got in store

up my sleeve will cleave your brain in two

It's true that might sound arrogant but detractors can get bent

For sure dawg (for sure dawg)

  • Good! We're communicating now

  • and next you see me you can say

  • 'hi, Ky!'

  • and it'll be our thing.

The interview is over, thanks for your time

Musician, author, poet - she's even good with rhyme.

It's been great to have you here, one heck of a day

Well, to wrap this up, do you have anything else to say?

I'm glad I could make it, it's a real honour

Though I thought I was a goner there, for awhile

but your smile told me told me otherwise,

so I'll close with a 'keep it real' (keep it real)

  • Good! We're communicating now

  • and next you see me you can say

  • 'hi, Ky!'

  • and it'll be our thing, it'll be our thing.
