Dark World International signs with R2G/Wa3 in China.

Bantry, Co. Cork, Ireland - 14 May 2013 - Dark World International has signed a contract with Wawawa (Wa3.cn) in Beijing for on-line music distribution in China. Wa3, run by R2G, is China's largest online independent music store and provides independent music labels and artists with a platform to sell their music in China.

Created exclusively for mainland Chinese customers, Wa3 uses a monthly subscription plan and strong anti-piracy infrastructure to provide genuine music and DRM encryption protection to their customers. Holding exclusive Chinese music copyright, Wa3 has partnered with digital distributor IODA to offer a diverse range of music styles from over 50 countries to Chinese music fans, with Microsoft integrating Wa3.cn into Microsoft's Windows Media Player providing an online purchase channel.

After seeing an average of 10GB per month in downloads from Chinese visitors to www.darkworld.com, Dark World International began searching for legal Chinese music distribution. This search led them to Wa3. Impressed by www.darkworld.com's retro-chic online style, Wa3 offered a music distribution contract to Dark World International artists without hesitation. Immediate work began on releasing Dark World International's biggest artists: Infinisynth, Johnny M, and Kylyra. Follow up artists include (DJ) Dream Quest, Deemed Psychotic, Stygian Tars, Milwaukee's Black Orchid, and Jam for the Dead. This breakthrough contract for exclusive music distribution in China is a landmark for the independent musician led group Dark World International. Struggling with the major labels, financial difficulties, and a move from North America to Europe has all been part of Dark World International's history. Despite these obstacles and many others, Dark World International has kept their site, www.darkworld.com, and their music alive for over 16 years, a feat rarely duplicated in the independent music scene.

Now for the first time, Chinese fans of Dark World International will be able to legally purchase music from Infinisynth, Deemed Psychotic, Johnny M, Kylyra, (DJ) Dream Quest, and many others through Wa3 (Wa3.cn). Visit www.darkworld.com for more information and links directly to Wa3.
