Having said all that he came to say, Fergus and the mist drifted back into the ground from where they had come. Muirgen stood wondering what reactions such a story would invoke. Understanding the importance of what he had just heard, Muirgen began writing down all that was said. After writing two copies, he placed one copy under Fergus' gravestone and took one copy back with him to the druids. Upon hearing the news of the story, the Church had Muirgen, and all who had heard the story, executed before the people of Ireland could be told. Before killing Muirgen, the Church had him interrogated and had learned about the second copy of the story. But when they looked under the gravestone, no text was found. To this day, it has never been found.
