Mary's Song

Raindrops fall on open windows

Inside the room a baby screams.

The mother takes it in her arms

Rocks it gently, the baby sleeps.

The mother looks down at the sleeping child

Your name is Mary, you shall do wonders.

Years later Mary sits on her bed

Her eyes alight with her tales of love

In her hand her first novel,

Dedicated to the memory of her mother and loved,

This story is the ultimate dream,

This poem a tale of her life

Mary became the first female president

Stopped wars and saved the world.
