a brief history of the producer
- After buying a new video player
with editing abilities in 1993, J.A.Bohr, known musically as J.A.B., began
shooting and editing footage to be played on televisions behind Milwaukee's
Black Orchid during live performances. Shooting the band logo taped over
a static screen turned into borrowing camera after camera capturing any
and everything through different lens, different light, different manipulations
of the video signal electronically while shooting and months of editing
using home video equiptment. Four hour-long videos, The Dark World series,
combining experimental videos and sometimes strange poorly shot sketches
were created and rented in local video shops in Milwaukee in 1993-1994.
- In 1994 J.A.B. began working through
MATA channel 14/47 creating the Ennui Entertainment series which ran on
cable television until 1996.
- In 1997 Dark World produced the
company Video/Informercial for the website, Dark World Television, Episode
One "tourist".
- In 1998 J.A.B. attended MCTC Video
Arts and Graphics program for two years producing under the name franklinNateONSLAUGHT.
- Presently J.A.B. is working stricktly
on audio, remastering the Dark World archives for iTunes release.
