1. What do you do in the band?
Lead and backing vocals, guitars, bass, rhythm, rhythm programming, melodic composition and arrangement. 2. What bands/artists do you have 3 or more of in your collection? Korn, Slayer, RUSH, Skinny Puppy, Fates Warning, Einstürzende Neubauten, Milwaukee's Black Orchid, Stygian Tars, Meat Beat Manifesto, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Death in June, Bauhaus, Peter Murphy, David J., Love and Rockets, The Cure, New Order, Joy Division, Judas Priest, Marilyn Manson, Yes, ELP, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Depeche Mode, Infinisynth (duh!), Kylyra (her solo work), Kraftwerk, Front242, Schubert and Vivaldi. 3. What's currently on your iPod? BENT, Cyber-Sonic, Groove Epidemic, Korn, Marilyn Manson, Rage Against the Machine, Slayer, Sven Vaeth, the 'ElectroCured' disc, the Dark World NIN remixes, a bunch of the new IMPs, the Planet Mythos Podcast, and some of the releases from Deemed Psychotic, Dream Quest, Doctor When, and new tracks from TechnoKy and Tor's Angst. Yeah, I still have all the KORN in, just added a bunch of stuff to fill my Nano. 4. What band or artist (whom you've not seen) would you most like to see perform live? The original Mahavishnu Orchestra line-up on their 'Birds of Fire' tour (I wasn't born yet, but the question didn't state if it was possible to do). 5. What kind of films do you enjoy? Films created as art, which entertain me. I always loved Maya Derens films, and I quite like early Russian Montage and German Expressionism. Many Bollywood films are also quite entertaining to me (though I have seen no more than a dozen or so). I like Tarkovsky (particulary Stalker), Kieslowski (Three Colours series is just wonderful), Shinya Tsukamoto's Tetsuo films. But I am a cartoon fan also, quite liking Pixar stuff. 6. What kind of reading material do you enjoy? Comics, mostly. The collection is over 14,000 issues these days. A lot of Marvel, Vertigo, 2000AD, and independants like Wolff & Byrd, The Tick and other such madness. And Questing stories (books here - no pictures even) like Redwall, Asimov's Universe, Harry Potter series, Lord of the Rings (again books - not Jackson films). I have a subsciption to 2000AD so that's read most often these days. Mic has borrowed me his Warhammer 40K novel to read so I have delved deeper into waring with little plastic Orcs and Space Marines. 7. What other activities do you enjoy? Bicycling, logic puzzles, cooking, painting, and lately Warhammer 40K, (though I do not have my own army yet). 8. What's your idea of a perfect meal? One consumed in a stressless environment which causes no digestive problems. 9. What's your worst habit? Disruption. 10. What do you value most in people? I value Honesty most, but find that rare in humans. |
