Thursday night - 70+ performances continued...
Artist: IslajaHome: Finland Venue/Time: Grand Theatre-Up/22.15 - 23.00 |
A respected avant-garde artist, Islaja is recorded as a solo female but performed at Eurosonic with five other musicians. Incorporating guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, noise, and a multitude of percussive instruments and toys, Islaja proved to be a true performance artist and her appearance at the Grand Theatre is one her audience will be sure to remember for a very long time. 'Islaja was the most unique act we saw at Eurosonic. It was great to see a performance that pushed the boundaries of music.' (Kylyra) Learn more at www.islaja.com. |
Artist: Disco DriveHome: Italy Venue/Time: Shadrak-Up/22.30 - 23.15 |
The Shadrak was well filled for the performance of Disco Drive, a three piece band from Italy. Using a unique line-up (guitar/drum/vocals, bass/vocals, drum/vocals), Disco Drive pumped the venue with their punk based sound. Go to their web site at www.discodrive.org for more information. |
Artist: Joy DenalaneHome: Germany Venue/Time: Grand Theatre-Main/23.00 - 23.45 |
Joy Denalane's been recording in the music industry for awhile; she sang on Music, a 1999 hit from the dance due Tiefschwarz. Pushing her album Born & Raised she performed in the manner any great diva would; on a huge stage with a large band and back-up singers to a standing room only audience. Adding sub-bass to her already warm R&B sound, Joy Denalane's performance was well appreciated by her audience. Visit her site at www.joydenalane.com. |
Artist: KillteamHome: Netherlands Venue/Time: Shadrak-Floor/23.15 - 00.00 |
A five piece band (2 guitars, bass, drums, vocals) from the Netherlands, Killteam bill themselves as heavy metal but their live performance sounded far more nu metal. Whichever genre you choose to call them, Killteam packed the Shadrak and pleased their audience. Go to www.killteam.tv for more information. |
